Mock Driving Test

You can take our Mock Driving Test where an instructor will play the role of a driving tester and mark you on your drive. The instructor will then discuss any faults, what has caused them, and how to correct them before the test. We’d recommend you take this a week before your test to give you time to work on any faults.

Pre Test Special Lesson

Our test day special will last no more than half an hour.  This lesson will iron out any minor wrinkles and remind you what you need to do to pass the test. We’ll assess your driving one last time and give you a couple of tips to settle your nerves.

Confidence

After these lessons, you’ll be ready and able to sit your test with confidence, safe in the knowledge you have all the skills needed to get that all-important pass.

The Right Car

If you don’t have your own car to use for the test we can provide you with the one you have used for your lesson.

Now all you have to do is buy a set of N-Plates for your car windows and celebrate

All Tuition Will Cover

Your Instructor will take you from a novice to a natural, fully competent, confident and safe driver through a tried and tested method.

Basic Vehicle Knowledge

Get to know your vehicle, it’s cockpit and controls and where to position yourself so you can operate the vehicle in a safe and controlled manner.

Rules of the Road

Taking what you learnt to pass your theory text we’ll show you why those rules are so important on the road and the dangers of not following through.

Driving Manouvers

We will take you through every driving manouvre step by step, give a demonstration and get you to repeat the manouvre until you are comfortable that you can complete it in a safe and controlled manner.

Road Safety

You’ll learn all about safety on the road; safety for you and your passengers and for other road users paying particular attention to vulnerable road users such as children, pedestrians and cyclists.

Hazards and Obstacles

You’ll learn to spot hazards, both actual and potential hazards and learn how to react to them and to negotiate safely around them in a controlled and safe manner.

Driving Test Preparation

Everything we teach you will prepare you to be a safe, knowledgeable and competent driver with the ability to successfully negotiate whatever driving conditions throw at you, including a driving test.

When you have finished your driving lessons with us, you should be well able to take and pass your driving test, get your first full driving license and… your FREEDOM!

Frequently Asked Questions

The Mock Driving Test costs €65. To hire the Car for your test costs with half hour tuition before it costs €110. Book the hour Pretest and car hire for €150

The Pre-Test will last between one and one and a half hours.

To hire the car we need to allocate one and a half – two hours.

Our method of teaching is tried and tested and will give you the best chance you can get of passing the test.

However, there are no guarantees you’ll pass your driving test, as any number of things can happen on the test day that might conspire against you. Rest assured that we will not recommend you take the test unless we think you are capable of passing it, and we will give you all the skills and knowledge you will need to pass.

While it is not guaranteed, we are  confident that after your 12 EDT lessons with us, and enough practice with your sponsor, you will pass your test with flying colours.

Opening Hours:

8am to 8pm Monday – Saturday.

We are flexible and if you work unsocial hours, we will do our best to accommodate you.

In the unlikely event that you don’t pass the test we will review the marking sheet to see if it was just nerves, if there was one large mistake, or if a series of errors led to the failure. We will then find out why the errors occurred on the test and fix them before you try again.

You can pay the full amount up front if that suits you, or just pay the driver in the car if you prefer it that way.

  • If you cancel a scheduled lesson more than 48 hours before the lesson, you will not be charged for the lesson.
  • If you cancel more than 24 hours but less than 48 hours 50% of the fee will be credited.
  • Any cancellation less than 24 hours before a scheduled lesson will forfeit the full fee.

We may make an exception in exceptional circumstances but that is totally at the discretion of Freedom School of Motoring.

Of Course. If for any reason you wish to cancel your lessons will get a refund for the lessons not taken on a pro rata basis. (subject to the cancellation policy above.)

We cover all of Kildare, from Naas,  Newbridge, and Kildare  across to Clane, Maynooth and Kilcock.
